About Zimbabwe
Officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, is a land locked country located in Southern Africa, found between Zambezi and Limpopo rivers.

Languages spoken in Zimbabwe
The country officially is known to have 16 official languages, with English, Shona and Ndebele being the most common. The name “Zimbabwe” is based on a Shana term for Great Zimbabwe, an ancient ruined city in the countr’s south-east whose remains are now a protected site.

The country’s economy shrunk significantly after 2000, this caused desperate situations for the country and widespread poverty resulting to 80% unemployment rate.
The country’s involvement and participation in the war in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1998-2002 set the stage for this deterioration by draining the country of millions of dallars.
This resulted into hyperinflation problem from about 2003 to April 2009 when the country suspended its own currency. Zimbabwe faced 231 million per cent peak hyperinflation in 2008.
